Privacy Policy

Salescom ("Salescom", "we", "us", or "our") provides a shared inbox and AI assistant ("AI") that helps sales teams capture, qualify, and respond to conversations generated by their ads across channels like Instagram, WhatsApp, website chat, email, Telegram, and SMS. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, whether you're a customer using Salescom or a lead messaging a business that uses Salescom.
1. Information we collect
When you sign up for or use Salescom, we collect:
- Account information — name, work email, password, company name, and billing details you provide when creating an account.
- Conversation data — messages, attachments, and metadata from the channels you connect (ad DMs, website chat, email, SMS, and similar), so they can be routed into your inbox and answered.
- AI interaction data — the conversations AI reads and replies to, used to generate and improve its responses for your account.
- Integration data — information exchanged with tools you connect, such as your CRM, ad accounts, or messaging channels, limited to what's needed for the integration to work.
- Usage and device data — log data, browser type, IP address, and how you interact with the product, collected automatically.
- Payment information — billing details are processed by Paddle (outside Ghana) or Paystack (in Ghana). We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
2. How we use information
- To operate the inbox, route conversations, and power AI's replies.
- To qualify and hand off leads according to the rules you configure.
- To attribute conversations back to the ad campaigns that generated them.
- To bill your subscription and send account or service notices.
- To provide support and respond to requests you send us.
- To monitor, secure, and improve the reliability of the product.
3. AI processing
AI reads incoming conversations connected to your account and generates suggested or automatic replies based on the context, rules, and knowledge you provide. Message content is processed for this purpose and is not used to train models shared across unrelated customers. You control when AI replies automatically and when a conversation is handed to a human rep.
4. How we share information
We share information only where it's needed to run the service:
- With the messaging platforms and channels you connect (for example Meta, WhatsApp Business, or email providers), to send and receive messages.
- With subprocessors who host our infrastructure, process payments (Paddle and Paystack), or provide support tooling on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of your data.
- With your own team members and integrations you explicitly connect.
- If required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Data retention
We keep account and conversation data for as long as your account is active, so your inbox history stays available. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it for legal, tax, or billing reasons.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and regular reviews to protect the data in our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the chat button on this website. If you're a lead who messaged a business using Salescom and want your conversation data removed, reach out to that business directly, or contact us and we'll help route your request.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the product is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect parts of the product that rely on them.
9. Children's privacy
Salescom is a business tool and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. If we make material changes, we'll notify account owners by email or by posting a notice in the product before the changes take effect.
